The Haskell County Board of Commissioners approved a package of routine business during its regular meeting, including equipment financing, vendor agreements and claims. Commissioners Clark McClary, Larry Watson and Billy Cloud voted to approve a lease-financing solicitation for a District 2 motorgrader and authorized going out for bids on residual financing after a lease-purchase with Armstrong Bank matured.
The board reviewed and signed the annual service and licensing agreement between the Haskell County Assessor and Data Scout LLC and approved a claim (324A) for District 2 related to the Sandboy Creek project for $17,240.73 to cover relocation of power lines to Cooks and Hills. Monthly reports from the assessor, county clerk, court clerk, election board, health department, treasurer and sheriff were presented and accepted. Commissioners also approved Resolution 312637 to declare inactive accounts and funds per the state auditor’s guidance.
Several procurement items were opened for review: sealed bids for court probation scanning and indexing were opened (Midwest Printing submitted a $64,918.40 bid) and commissioners voted to table award pending reference checks and additional review. The board approved routine lease-renewal and insurance verification forms for the county road machinery revolving fund and confirmed signing authority for various appropriations and transfers that will also require excise-board sign-off where applicable.
The meeting concluded with the commissioners adjourning after returning from an excise-board session in which transfers and ARPA account reconciliations were reviewed. No controversial policy or emergency actions were taken; most items were standard administrative approvals or tabled for further review.
