Board green-lights multiple contracts: snow removal, architect, school security cameras and other routine approvals

On June 11 the Teton School District board took several operational votes, approving recommended contractors and renewing standard agreements included on the action agenda.
Procurement and operations
Administration recommended awarding the sidewalk snow-removal contract to Golden Eagle Lawn & Garden after review of bid prices and rubric scoring; the board approved the award by voice vote.
For capital planning, the board approved awarding architect services to GPC Architects after staff reported it as the single qualified submission for the RFQ and authorized the superintendent to finalize the agreement.
Security-camera procurement
An evaluation committee scored camera system proposals using a rubric that emphasized technical capability and total cost. The top-scoring proposer, SSA Access, was recommended for award and the board approved the contract. During discussion staff alerted trustees to a growing procurement issue: several bidders included recurring annual licensing fees, which could raise the long-term total cost of ownership. Staff said licensing proposals ranged significantly and could add tens of thousands of dollars annually for some vendors.
Other approvals and renewals
The board ratified routine contractor renewals, including a McCall Cleaners contract for $30 per hour per staffer, and ratified the district's 2026-27 master contract with the local teachers' association (TEA), authorizing district administrators to execute the agreement. Trustees also approved the district's 2026-27 insurance renewal.
Athletics: THS summer practice
The THS football equipment and summer-practice item was moved from the consent to the action agenda and the board approved a limited-contact week of summer practice using district-owned protective equipment.
Board members instructed staff to track long-term licensing costs in the security-camera project and to return to the board with firm cost models where multi-year fees are proposed.
