Oroville Art Commission hears updates on murals, QR-code signage and upcoming events

Staff said the city’s IT group must create a landing page where each plaque’s code can point; until a working URL exists the existing metal plates will need replacement or reprogramming. "They don't scan. They don't connect to anything," a staff member said, noting a stack of unused plaques lacking the associated links.
Other items included a July 3 community concert at the State Theater, a sample hydrant-painting project, and a reminder that election nomination papers will be available beginning July 13 for several city offices. Commissioners proposed placing a formal agenda item at the next meeting to discuss project dedications and QR-code implementation.
The commission adjourned after the business was completed.
