The Windham Conservation Commission voted May 14 to elect Kara Feldberg as chair, Michael Specian as vice chair and Lisa Ferrisi as secretary after recent appointments by the Board of Selectmen prompted the Commission to hold elections.
The Board of Selectmen’s May 11 appointments led to internal reorganization: Wayne Morris applied to be appointed as an alternate member, Mark Wimmer was appointed as a full member, and Michael Specian was re‑appointed as a full member. Commissioners confirmed all members were sworn in on May 14 before conducting elections.
Commissioner Dave Curto moved to nominate Kara Feldberg as chair; Mark Wimmer seconded the nomination and the motion passed with Feldberg abstaining so she would not vote for herself. Curto then nominated Michael Specian for vice chair; Lisa Ferrisi seconded and that motion passed with Specian abstaining. Mark Wimmer nominated Ferrisi for secretary, Curto seconded, and the motion passed with Ferrisi abstaining.
The meeting proceeded to routine conservation business and property updates and later entered a non‑public session under RSA 91‑A:3 II by motion of Wayne Morris. The Commission later voted to seal the non‑public minutes for the time allowed by law and adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
The Commission said it will handle upcoming zoning and planning reviews at follow‑up meetings and site walks as noted on the agenda.
