The Lucas County Board of County Commissioners on June 9 approved a series of routine but consequential administrative items and personnel changes and deferred one contract amendment for further review.
Actions approved by roll call included an amendment to the Tyler case management contract (to allow annual SaaS renewals), the award of a rooftop-unit replacement contract for the Lucas County EMS building (Industrial Power Solutions, base bid plus alternate 1 of $117,558), two OMB resolutions (a state-mandated transfer for Job and Family Services and an appropriation resolution), and amendments to the county's Capital Improvement Policy (19A) and the 2023/2025/2026 CIP to provide additional funding for the CSI building demolition, rooftop units at EMS, a roof replacement at the Lucas County Recreation Center (Rec Hall 1), and fairgrounds improvements.
The chair announced the DLZ corporation contract amendment will be held and returned to the board at the next Tuesday meeting for further consideration.
Following an executive session to discuss personnel matters and potential imminent court action, the board approved personnel actions including changing Tara Bundy's appointment status from interim to regular permanent as director of Canine Care and Control (pay to remain $51.64 per hour, MSS Grade 8) and amending a prior resolution to change Alexis Rawson's status from appointment to promotion and transfer her department assignment to Job and Family Services. The board recorded affirmative roll-call votes for these personnel items.
