Safety report: Pullman schools cite compliance with Alyssa’s Law steps, drills and medical preparedness

On environmental health, Justin noted indoor-air-quality tracking, green cleaning solutions and regular HVAC inspections. For transportation, he said the district completed a Washington State Patrol vehicle inspection and maintains drug and alcohol testing for bus drivers.
Justin explained the district’s work to comply with Alyssa’s Law (Senate Bill 5004), including steps to give Poland Police Department live access to building cameras so officers can view footage if an incident occurs. He also described ongoing law-enforcement coordination, active-shooter training, and collaborations with Pullman Police Department for summer trainings and building walkthroughs.
The board had no action on the safety report during the meeting.
