Sarah Leglian of the prosecutor’s office asked the board to accept the VAWA funding, saying the award will support “one full‑time and three part‑time advocates” and the volunteer in‑kind match that helps run the program. The board moved and approved acceptance of the grant.
Administrator Ford presented the $10,000 partnership agreement with the Revitalized Care Foundation to support the foundation’s second annual mental‑health gala; the motion to approve was made and carried.
The board approved a facilities sublease for the Lucas County Guardianship Board for office space at Government Center (Suite 350) at the same $9.50 per square foot rate the county has with the Port Authority, a pass‑through generating an annual cost of $12,644.50. Job & Family Services received approval for three items: a $47,880 agreement with the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo to operate the Young Artists at Work summer program (serving 11 TANF‑eligible youth), an intergovernmental fiscal‑agent agreement with workforce development, and authorization for the JFS director to act as designee for intercounty fund adjustments outside the state reallocation process.
Support Services received permission to buy replacement kitchen equipment through a Sourcewell contract (063022‑COK) for an estimated $82,181.86, and the sanitary engineer presented a $42,075 professional services agreement with the Manik and Smith Group to decommission explosive‑gas monitoring at King Road Landfill. The board also approved acceptance of sanitary sewer and water lines at Stonegate Plat in Mont Clover Township.
After executive session the board approved an agreement with Armor Health to provide comprehensive health services at the Lucas County Corrections Center; the sheriff’s office presented that request following the closed session. The meeting ended with the chair adjourning until May 19 at 11:00.
