San Jose City Council approved staff recommendations on June 9 to upgrade security and access control systems at the Regional Wastewater Facility following a Transportation and Parking Advisory Committee recommendation.
Councilmember Candelas, who brought the item to the dais, said TPAC had recommended the measure last week and described the action as intended to “enhance the security and protection of our wastewater facility.” With no public comment, Candelas moved approval and the motion passed unanimously.
The action will proceed through the city’s normal procurement and contract award processes overseen by Public Works and the relevant operating departments; council recorded the unanimous approval on the consent/motion floor.
