Circleville approves two food‑vendor licenses and discusses park power hookups

The Circleville Town Council on May 15 approved business licenses for two food vendors and discussed how to supply electricity to park vendors. Lilian Oywech received approval for Lilian’s BBQ & Catering Services and Meagan Lee’s Friki Tiki license was also approved.
The council unanimously approved Lilian Oywech’s license after hearing that the BBQ trailer will require water and power and that cooking will use firewood while electricity will be needed for lighting. Michael King told the council he would pay for wiring installation but the business would be responsible for ongoing power costs; council members agreed to defer broader policy decisions about charging businesses for park power to a later meeting. Stacie Gass moved to approve the Lilian’s BBQ license and the motion passed unanimously.
Meagan Lee’s application for Friki Tiki was approved by unanimous vote after a motion from Shirl Fox and a second from Tyler Dalton. Two other applicants (Bradley Bess and Chyanne Soffel) were not present and their license discussions were postponed.
Council members said they would return to the broader question of park power — including whether and how to charge vendors — at a future meeting. No fee schedule or engineering plan was adopted at the May 15 meeting.
