On June 3 Commissioner Max Hockemeier moved and Commissioner Bobby Don Davis seconded to convene the court; the motion carried 3-0. The commission approved prior minutes and accepted the monthly balance report for May as presented by Treasurer Melissa Holloway. Commissioners approved payables presented by Payables Clerk Trina Hudson and Treasurer Holloway, including an allocation to the Historical Society from the Monthly Allocation Fund, and Commissioner Sheila Tracy signed the Diesel Fuel Usage Form for March.
On June 4 commissioners reviewed monthly settlements and approved monthly abatements and court orders as presented by Ray County Collector Julie Chowning. The board approved payables drawn from the Noxious Weed fund (Woodshed; Michael Arnold Enterprises LLC; Scott's Bargain Barn) and approved MTS Contracting INC from the Capital Improvement Fund. Presiding Commissioner Sheila Tracy also signed a Federal Funding Accountability & Transparency Act (FFATA) form for ongoing Local Public Agency projects with the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT).
Late in the June 4 proceedings Commissioner Hockemeier moved and Commissioner Davis seconded to go into closed session under State statute for personnel matters (section 610.021.3); the motion carried 3-0. The minutes show the court later voted to exit closed session by the same vote margin. The minutes do not record the content of the closed session, only the statutory citation and votes to enter and exit.
The commission adjourned June 4 and scheduled the next session for June 10, 2026.
