Hood County commissioners approve replats, grants and routine financial items

After the contested development discussion and vote, the Hood County Commissioners Court moved through routine agenda business and approved a series of land‑use and administrative items.

The court approved replat requests including Day Ranch 5B (lots 15R and 16R), Sierra Blanca phase one (lots 3R and 5R) and Comanche Harbor section E replats, each after public notice and no substantive opposition. The judges and commissioners also set a public hearing for the Reclaim Preserve Phase 2 replat on July 14, 2026.

On financial and administrative matters the court: drew names for a grievance committee from a pool of grand‑jury members; authorized the county judge to sign an event permit for the Granberry Fourth of July celebration; removed duplicate item‑due dates on the June calendar; and approved ten vouchers to assist a Lake Granberry Harbor community cleanup.

The court unanimously accepted a Rural Ambulance Service grant and authorized the county judge to sign the award agreement electronically; staff said an interlocal with the county’s ambulance provider will be required to obligate funds for purchase and that the subagreement must remain in effect for the grant term.

The auditor reported expenditures for June 9 totaling $643,874.92 for the May 5–28 invoice period; the court certified payment of invoices, accepted bank reconciliations and accepted financial reports for May 1–15, 2026. Motions for these consent and financial items carried by unanimous vote.
