The Plan & Zone Commission on June 10 recommended approval of a special-use permit to allow an auto body repair shop and an indoor contractor shop at 15062 South Archer Avenue, subject to conditions and completion of required site improvements.
Planning staff said the property is a nonconforming multi-tenant commercial building better suited to heavier commercial or industrial uses, and that the owner has submitted applications for parking-lot reconstruction and a landscape plan. Staff recommended approval contingent on listed conditions and completion of improvements before tenants occupy the space.
Applicant Sofia Dugapolski confirmed the permit applications for site improvements are in for review with the building department and that she is moving to bring the site into compliance. Commissioners moved to adopt the findings of fact and recommend approval with the conditions shown on the staff report; the motion passed on a roll-call vote and will be considered by the City Council’s Committee of the Whole on July 1.
What’s next: The permit recommendation will proceed to the Committee of the Whole; occupancy will be contingent on completion of the stated site improvements and compliance with the permit conditions.
