At its Jan. 30, 2026 meeting the Copper Mountain Consolidated Metropolitan District board unanimously approved routine minutes and financial items and authorized the district manager to sign a statement opposing a Shoshone Water Rights action.
The board approved the Nov. 21, 2025 regular‑meeting minutes (motion by Director Sprinkle, seconded by Director Reis) and the Dec. 12, 2025 special‑session minutes (motion by Director Reis, seconded by Director Sprinkle); both motions were unanimously agreed. The board then unanimously approved the preliminary Dec. 31, 2025 financials, including the check detail report, on a motion by Director Sprinkle seconded by Director Bilenduke. Eric Weaver said the $13.0 million WWTP bond had closed and noted that interest earned while funds are in the bank will be recorded as 'interest income.'
The board unanimously adopted Resolution 2026‑01 designating public notice posting places (moved by Director Reis, seconded by Director Sprinkle) and unanimously approved the 2026 Board meeting dates (motion by Director Sprinkle, seconded by Director Bilenduke).
On a motion by Director Bilenduke seconded by Director Sprinkle the board unanimously authorized District Manager Abigail Tietjen to sign a statement of opposition concerning the Shoshone Water Rights matter; Tietjen had asked the board to grant that authority during new business.
Board members asked staff for an updated copy of December financials for audit use and for clarification on aged payables; Carolyn Russo reported that aged invoices (about $4,000 over 90 days and $15,800 at 61–90 days) were paid in January, and Chelsey Lange confirmed a $70,000 payment related to work at Well 2. The board set its next regular meeting for March 27, 2026.
