Klamath County commissioners voted on June 9 to set a public hearing for July 14, 2026 at 1:15 p.m. to consider a petition to annex Long Lake Ranch property into Fire District 4.
The petition materials submitted May 21, 2026 identify the property owners as David King, Holly King and Lorie Peppernick; the county clerk’s certification attached to the petition states those owners represent 100% of the land ownership and have provided the signatures required for the annexation petition. The county assessor has reviewed the petition materials, as reflected in the packet.
Commissioner Minty moved to set the one-and-only public hearing date and the board approved the resolution establishing the hearing. The County Clerk will publish hearing notices and materials in accordance with statutory notice requirements ahead of the July 14 session.
The hearing will be the formal opportunity for public testimony for and against the annexation before the board takes any final action.
