"When people find out it's free... they're coming over here and I simply just I don't have time for it," staff said, arguing the fee covers staff time and related costs.
Councilor Hiser moved to adopt resolution 26-1815 adopting the FY2026-27 consolidated fee schedule, with an effective date of July 4, 2026; the motion was seconded and passed 6–1. The council directed staff to implement the resolution and noted questions about resident exemptions will remain a council conversation for future consideration.
The fee schedule becomes a public record filed with the town clerk and will take effect on July 4, 2026.
