Board recognizes state track champion Timber Fitch and Special Olympics team; athlete selected for USA Games

Coach Ryan Burgerer reviewed the program year — bowling, winter snowshoeing and spring track — and celebrated multiple state‑level achievements. He said the Unified program fields athletes with intellectual disabilities alongside partners and noted the team had been three‑time state champions. Burgerer announced that Dylan Curry has been selected to represent Team Wyoming at the Special Olympics USA Games in Minneapolis, with team travel beginning June 19 and an opening ceremony on June 20.
"Dylan has been chosen to represent team Wyoming at the USA Games," Burgerer said, adding that the delegation will be featured at the opening ceremony and that the district is proud to send athletes to the national competition.
What’s next: Coaches said they will provide a report after the Games and the board invited the team to present a short report at a future meeting.
