MADISON, Va. — The Madison County Board of Supervisors on June 3 approved a rezoning request from Ace Country Holdings LLC to reclassify three parcels from Agricultural (A‑1) to Business, General (B‑1), clearing the way for expansion of an existing county business.
Will Alvarez, representing Ace Country Holdings, presented the application for tax maps 55‑43B, 55‑38G and 55‑38H. Planning & Zoning staff recommended approval, saying the rezoning would allow the business to expand. Economic Development Director Tracey Gardner told the Board the applicant has been positive to work with, encouraged members to visit the existing operation and said the expansion represented a positive business opportunity for the county.
There were no public speakers. Supervisor Mike Snider moved to approve RZ‑04‑26‑01 as recommended by the Planning Commission; Supervisor Nancy Sharman seconded the motion and the Board voted unanimously in favor.
The rezoning changes the official zoning for the listed parcels from A‑1 to B‑1, enabling the owner to pursue business uses consistent with the county’s business designation. The Board’s action was recorded as approved without conditions.
