Supervisors approve Red Lake zone change and recommend liquor license for Forest Lakes roadhouse

The Coconino County Board of Supervisors on June 9 unanimously approved two land-use and licensing matters after public hearings produced no speakers.
Community Development Director Jess McNeely presented a request to rezone a 25.28‑acre parcel in Red Lake (APN 500-28-00006) from a 10‑acre minimum general zone to AR‑5 (5‑acre minimum) so the property could be split into five five‑acre parcels. McNeely said the Planning & Zoning Commission found the request consistent with the county comprehensive plan and Red Lake area plan and recommended approval; no public opposition was reported. The board adopted Ordinance 2026‑06 approving the zone change.
On a separate item, the board held a public hearing and recommended approval to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses & Control for a Series 12 restaurant liquor license for 260 Roadhouse at 2893 State Route 260 in Forest Lakes. Clerk Lindsay reported no comments from the sheriff’s office, health department, risk manager or community-development staff and no public input; the board voted to recommend approval.
