Andrew Gorman of Beals & Thomas and the project team (including project engineer Paula Thompson and architect Jacob Boyce) reported they have filed for a septic permit, received first‑round peer‑review comments from Beta Group and expect changes to wetland delineation, stockpile locations and erosion‑control barriers.
"We are in the process of filing our septic permit...we have the first round of peer‑review comments from Beta Group," Andrew Gorman said, noting the team will revise drawings to respond to those comments. Beta Group's reviewer described the package as largely responsive and estimated the submission approximately 95% complete from the planning perspective.
Board members asked about fire access and nearest hydrant locations; the team confirmed the building will be sprinklered and tied to domestic and fire protection water lines. The project team also said lighting will be dark‑sky compliant and that screening plantings will be added near residential abutters to the west. The board voted to continue the site‑plan, special‑permit, and Scenic Road Act hearing to July 14 to allow for revisions addressing peer‑review and conservation commission feedback.
