Brunswick assessment board denies property tax abatement for 383 Mere Point Road

The Town of Brunswick Board of Assessment Review denied a property tax abatement sought by homeowner Therese Akladiss for 383 Mere Point Road (Tax Map 32, Lot 28) following an evidentiary hearing on April 21, 2026. The board voted 3-0 to deny the appeal after deliberations.

Chair Stephen Holt opened the hearing at 9:00 a.m. and moved into the evidentiary phase at about 9:09 a.m. During the hearing, appellant Therese Akladiss presented her case and answered questions from Town Assessor Taylor Burns and Board members. Assessor Taylor Burns presented supporting documentation for the Assessing Office and also responded to questions.
