Recent purchases funded by Perkins included appliances for a middle‑school family‑and‑consumer‑science lab, Dell desktops for technology education, and a portable paint booth and respirator equipment for collision‑repair certification requirements.
Bumgardner told the board that student industry‑certification costs will increase as state funds are exhausted and Perkins funds are used for remaining testing costs. The board voted to approve the Perkins application as presented.
