Hardee County School Board receives Florida School Boards Association Master Board distinction

The Hardee County School Board received a Master Board recognition from the Florida School Boards Association during its Jan. 22 meeting. Carol Cook, representing the association, presented a plaque and congratulated the board for completing governance training intended to strengthen collaboration between the board, superintendent and deputy superintendent.
"You have just spent 20 hours over the course of several months learning how to work together and to become a very effective board," Carol Cook said, praising the district’s focus on governance and professional development. Cook said the certification recognizes members’ commitment to training and the example that sets for district staff.
Board members accepted the plaque and the meeting moved on to other agenda items. The recognition highlights the district’s recent focus on board development and governance practices.
