"This year, we are expanding from just music venues in Astoria. We're including Seaside this year," Many said, summing up plans for the day. She described the event as free and open to musicians and audiences of all ages and ability levels.
Commissioners moved and seconded the proclamation, authorized the chair to sign it, and approved it by voice vote. The proclamation encourages residents to celebrate music-making in public spaces on the summer solstice.
The board read the proclamation into the record, citing the event’s international origins and noting that Make Music Clatsop County would mark its second local year on June 21. There was no public comment on the item, and the chair signed the proclamation as authorized.
