Student representatives outline fall activities as board recognizes donors and an Eagle Scout

Student representatives from Toms River High Schools East, North and South gave the board an overview of fall activities, clubs and early-season sports successes, and the board used its meeting to present community recognitions.

Michaela Milanic, representing High School East, described a district beautification day, freshman orientation, an activity period planned for Sept. 25, and recent athletics results. “Our Raider Nation is showing incredible school spirit,” Milanic said, noting several undefeated teams and upcoming events.

Alysia Lebelloo, the North student representative, discussed a new 'First Mates' club that produces student interviews and announcements, senior events including Senior Sunrise, and the North theater company’s fall play scheduled for Nov. 13–15.

Michaela Manzy, representing High School South, reviewed freshman orientation, club fundraising (including a Chipotle fundraiser), and sports results. The board applauded the student representatives for their first reports.

The board presented a community recognition to Christian Coronado of Coronado's Kitchen for paying off student lunch account balances and thanked him for his support. Principal Keller introduced Justin Cruz Benois, a High School North freshman who earned the rank of Eagle Scout and completed a service project at the American Legion.

The meeting included multiple brief remarks from board members welcoming the new school year and noting upcoming events such as a PTO 'Touch a Truck' fundraiser and the district education foundation’s fundraising work.
