The village board approved a $246,300 contract with Clark Deetsz for construction inspection, management and resident communications tied to the Sendex redevelopment public‑improvements program. Staff said design is complete, bids were solicited by the developer using the Clark Deetsz plans, and Clark Deetsz will provide weekly updates and a single village contact for resident questions.
Public works staff said the work will be funded from Tax Increment District (TID) funds (TID 1 and TID 3) and will not draw on the general fund. Trustees asked about the bid schedule and whether the village will be on track for a spring mobilization; staff said awards were expected in February with construction impacts starting in late spring or early summer and accommodations made for key public events (parade, art festival, Fourth of July).
The board approved the inspection services agreement pending village‑attorney review.
