The presenter summarized DOT practice: a traffic-impact study is typically required when a development is predicted to add about 3,000 new daily movements and DOT statutory thresholds are triggered around 4,000 new movements per day; staff said the combined effect of Hawkins Meadows townhomes and the proposed 30 homes was not expected to trigger DOT-required turn-lane work.
