Town staff told the board that the budget document posted online reflects minor revisions since the original presentation: corrections to the fee schedule and adjustments to the staffing summary and appendices. "We did make some revisions to our budget document since the original presentation, not to any material numbers in the budget itself, but on our fee schedule," a staff presenter said, explaining that the changes had been published on the town website.
Alderwoman Pat Sledge moved to adopt the budget as presented; the motion was seconded and approved without opposition. The board and staff discussed routine post-adoption steps, including posting the final documents and implementing the corrected appendices.
The adoption resolves the main municipal spending plan for the coming fiscal year. The manager and finance director said they will continue to report on revenues and any necessary budget amendments as the year progresses. The board concluded the item with a unanimous vote to approve ordinance 26-04.
