The Lawrence Township Board of Education voted unanimously June 10 to approve a package of reorganization items, personnel appointments and 33 new‑business resolutions moved as consent blocks.
Board President moved to adopt reorg items 1–61 and the motion carried after roll call. The board later approved personnel motions P1–P52, which included appointments, leaves of absence, resignations and summer staff positions for the 2026–27 school year. "On the agenda this evening are the reorganization items," the board secretary noted during that discussion.
Among the new business items the board approved were the district's acceptance of a New Jersey DOE literacy screening focus grant, settlement items discussed in executive session, approval of property casualty insurance premiums, and a grievance settlement between the board and LDEA. The board also approved revised job descriptions for system administrators and user system specialists, salary adjustments and appointments for extra‑duty positions for 2026–27.
The board approved consultant contracts to provide specialized professional services during 2026–27, background clearance approvals for summer staff and ESY bus aides, and a joint transportation agreement with Hopewell Valley Regional School District to provide ESY transportation. Student services had earlier reported a $5,500 Special Olympics "School of Champions" grant awarded to Lawrence High School and a $750 grant from Plymouth Rock Assurance for a transition coordinator trip; those grants were listed among items the board accepted.
Votes were recorded by roll call on the consent blocks and were recorded as 'Yes' by all members present. The meeting proceeded to adjournment after a final motion to close the session.
