Williston commission approves Flex PACE buydowns for six local business projects

The Williston Board of City Commissioners on July 23 approved multiple Flex PACE assistance requests presented by City Administrator Shawn Wenko. Approved requests included: ShirtWorx LLC (buydown not to exceed $48,000) to expand at 2716 2nd Avenue West; Creedence Properties (up to $85,000) for an office/training addition at 5930 16th Avenue West; Meg-A-Latte (up to $57,500) to convert 628 1st Street East into a distribution center; Workhorse Welding LLC (up to $33,000) for property purchase at 9820 16th Avenue West; and United Agronomy (up to $58,000) to relocate to 317 1st Avenue Southeast. Wenko also reported that Bakken Water Management will not proceed with its project and will return a previously approved $65,000 to the STAR Fund.
Commissioner Tate Cymbaluk moved to approve the Flex PACE applications and the return of funds; Commissioner Victoria Siemieniewski seconded. The commission approved the package by unanimous voice vote. Wenko noted these incentives are intended to support local business expansion, rehabs and job retention in Williston.
