Board moves polling locations for three wards to Bayshore Lutheran

Whitefish Bay — The Village Board on Dec. 15 adopted Ordinance 1921 to change polling locations for wards 7, 9 and 11, moving those precincts from the Lidell Community Center to Bayshore Lutheran.
Staff told the board the school district requested a review after updating school safety standards and that Bayshore Lutheran meets Wisconsin Election Commission and ADA requirements. The village plans to notify affected households by postcard and through its regular communications channels, including the newsletter, website and social media.
Trustees discussed potential voter confusion and signage at former locations; staff said greeters and a posted map plus an online “MyVote” lookup should reduce misdirected voters. A trustee noted that Whitefish Bay’s ward structure (12 wards) provides finer reporting detail for election results than a smaller number of wards would.
The board approved the ordinance by voice vote. No members of the public spoke on the item during the meeting.
