Whitefish Bay — The village board on Oct. 20 referred a Sendex certified survey map (CSM) and a petition to vacate portions of adjacent public right-of-way to the plan commission and set a public hearing for Dec. 1.
Staff explained the petition asks the village to vacate a narrow portion of roadway adjacent to the development site at Silver Spring Drive and Lake Drive and to convey two small village-owned parcels to Sendex, with an outlot returning to the village. Village staff cited Wisconsin Statute 66.296 as the statutory mechanism for the petition-based vacation and explained the hearing notice requirements.
The board's motion referred the CSM to the plan commission and set the public hearing date; plan commission review and public notice will follow statutory timelines. No final conveyance occurs until the public hearing and any required plan-commission recommendation and subsequent board action.
