The Whitefish Bay Village Board adopted Resolution 3184, approving the 2026–2031 Capital Improvement Plan with several amendments.
Staff summarized modifications since earlier drafts: $1.5 million was added in 2027 for a Clo Park warming‑shelter renovation (with design work funded in 2026); the Clo Park pavilion/tennis courts project was updated to include $1.5 million in 2029 and design funding in 2028; and $41,725 was added in 2026 for a path connecting the new playground to the pavilion plus a seasonal shade structure at Cahill Square.
In response to flooding during the Aug. 9–10 storm, staff proposed and the board approved adding $50,000 in 2026 and $200,000 in 2027 to begin planning and limited immediate work to address stormwater vulnerabilities. Trustees emphasized that if the study shows larger projects are required, staff should return to the board with revised funding requests.
The board approved the resolution as amended by voice vote.
Next steps: staff will prioritize stormwater planning and may re‑program CIP funds or seek additional appropriations if studies recommend larger capital projects.
