Silver Plume trustees approve routine business, appoint MJHA representative and fill board vacancies

At their Nov. 11 meeting the Silver Plume Board of Trustees carried routine business and made several appointments.
The board unanimously approved the meeting agenda, payment of bills and the Oct. 28 minutes. Trustee Martin Gitlin moved to approve and Trustee Tammy Frey seconded each consent motion.
Trustee Tammy Frey was appointed Silver Plume’s representative to the Multi-Jurisdictional Housing Authority (MJHA); the board noted the MJHA meets quarterly and said it could appoint someone else if Frey finds the commitment burdensome. The clerk said the town shop has been suggested as a potential low-income housing project site and that Frey had relayed that possibility to the MJHA.
Mayor Lee Berenato nominated himself to the Planning and Zoning Board to fill a vacancy; that nomination passed unanimously. The board also approved the nomination of Randall McDonald to the Silver Plume Mountain Park Commission.
The board scheduled a budget committee finalization meeting for Nov. 17 at 3 p.m. and noted miscellaneous items including graffiti on the water tower and upcoming parking issues for a future agenda.
