Vice Mayor Tom Reed reported a contractor will soon install T‑Mobile fiber optic cable in the Huffman Way and nearby areas to provide television, telephone and internet service. He also announced that the Shore Drive South paving project is complete and that televised inspections of stormwater pipes on Oleander Way South will finish this week; minimal silt was found so far.
Reed reminded residents that the city's fertilizer ban runs June 1–Sept. 30 and that the city is under Level 3 drought water restrictions. He directed residents to the city website for restriction details by address.
