Council adopted Resolution R26‑11 to amend the master fee schedule for the Pavilion, Whiteall and gazebo following staff market research showing the city’s prior Saturday rates priced some customers out.
Assistant City Manager and staff presented comparisons to central Texas venues, reported strong tour interest (92 tours in several months), and proposed a new simplified pricing flyer: lower Saturday peak and nonpeak rates, a half‑day option at Whiteall, elimination of a separate kitchen fee for some packages, and discounts for residents, military/first responders, nonprofits and schools.
Supporters said the new structure aims to increase bookings and reach a sustainable utilization level for venue operations. The council moved, seconded and adopted the resolution unanimously. Staff will monitor bookings and revenue to evaluate whether the fee changes meet utilization and revenue goals.
