Cerro Gordo supervisors approve routine payroll, permits and manure plans

The Cerro Gordo County Board of Supervisors handled routine administrative business June 8, approving claims, payroll, personnel changes and several permits and reports as part of its regular session.
Vice Chairman Carl Ginapp moved and Supervisor Chris Watts seconded approval of the day’s agenda and the minutes of the June 1 meeting, and later moved to approve county claims and the payroll register (period ending May 30, 2026); those motions passed unanimously. The board adopted Resolution 2026-38 to approve payroll changes for Alivea Harms (Conservation) to $17.00/hour effective June 8, 2026, and for Brittney Friederich (Planning & Zoning) to $30.00/hour effective July 6, 2026.
The board also approved the Sheriff’s Monthly Report of Fees and granted a 12‑month Iowa retail cigarette/tobacco/nicotine/vapor permit for Pure Pleasure, effective July 1, 2026. Reports from Environmental Health concerning manure management plan updates for SunRay Pork Site 6 (site #65852), Craig Benjegerdes (site #60189), Elite Farms (site #65983), Gary Payton (site #59066), and D & E Pork, Inc. — Richland Site (site #63928) were approved and forwarded to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
All listed motions were approved unanimously. The board adjourned at 10:12 a.m. The minutes note that video and supporting documents are available on the county website.
