Mr. Marshall, Mr. Kendrick, Mr. Cox and Mr. Wood each voted "aye," and the presiding member recorded an "aye," carrying the motion.
Later in the meeting another member said, "I'd like to nominate Lou Ann McGuinness to serve on the Southern Agency on Aging." That nomination was seconded and approved by the same recorded 'aye' votes. Members offered brief congratulations to the appointee following the vote.
The actions were procedural and did not include debate of substantive policy changes. The meeting concluded with an announcement that the body will reconvene on Monday, July 13.
