Police leadership framed the software as a force multiplier that reduces administrative burden and increases accountability: officers can access policies via mobile devices, staff can push low‑frequency/high‑risk tests, and the department can manage background investigations more efficiently. The chief noted that using the platform had helped expedite processing for hundreds of applicants and allowed one staff member to manage tasks previously spread across multiple employees.
Council members asked about survey volume, background workload and the degree to which the system substitutes for hiring. The chief said the department processes large applicant volumes and uses the software to improve speed and oversight. On a motion from Vice Mayor Parsons, the council voted to approve the five‑year agreement.
Next steps: Finance will execute the contract and the police department will continue rolling modules into daily workflows to support accreditation and professional standards work.
