The Boone County Board of Supervisors on June 3 held a public hearing and approved the first reading of Ordinance #171, a rezoning request for a 5th Addition to Buckhill Subdivision.
Planning & Zoning official Mike Salati presented the request to rezone 28.91 acres (Parcel #088425011250081), owned by Blue Sky Properties LLC, from A-1 (Agriculture Conservation) to R-1 (Rural Residential). The proposal calls for the parcel to be split into three large residential lots. The board opened the hearing at 9:02 a.m.; no public comments were recorded and the hearing closed at 9:06 a.m. Supervisor Shawn Bryant moved to approve the first reading; Supervisor Scott Longhorn seconded and the motion carried with all ayes.
Because this action was a first reading of an ordinance, additional formal readings or postings may be required before final adoption according to county ordinance processes. No public opposition or conditions were recorded in the meeting minutes.
