She said the general fund operating budget totals $259,000,000 and that the council is investing 39% of the citywide budget in capital projects, funded largely by construction sales tax and expected one-time project spending.
Simmons noted the final adopted budget is $8,800,000 less than the tentative budget, attributing the difference to planned carryforwards of capital projects into FY2027. Mayor Sarter opened the public hearing; the clerk reported no public speakers. Mayor Sarter thanked staff and the directors for their work and singled out Andrea Simmons, noting this is her first full budget to implement.
