Simmons told the council there are 142 SLIDs with a total levy amount of $2,300,000. "They are used for costs associated with electricity for street lighting," she said, explaining that rates can vary by district depending on the number of homes and expenses.
Mayor Sarter opened the public hearing; the clerk reported there were no requests to speak. A council member moved to approve Resolution 2026-89, a second was recorded, and the clerk announced the motion passed by voice vote.
The council set the SLID levy adoption for June 16 as required by the cited statute in the agenda item.
