Other revisions addressed expected conduct (warning then removal for inappropriate language), tobacco/vape/Performance Enhancing Substance consequences, mixed‑gender team labeling, and alignment with MIAA season dates. Administration noted arbiter registration is now used for middle‑school team registrations and that concession receipts (about $7,000 in the account) fund equipment purchases.
Committee members suggested adding a requirement that coaches use ParentSquare for family communications rather than ad hoc texting groups and asked for minor clarifications on concussion content placement and seasonal dates. A motion to refer the handbooks to the full committee with administrative recommendations carried on a roll call vote.
The subcommittee did not adopt the handbooks at this meeting; they were referred for full‑committee consideration, with administration to make the edits discussed before the next meeting.
