Redevelopment Commission approves May 21 minutes, closes proposed TIF hearing with no public comment

The Redevelopment Commission met June 9, 2026. The commission opened a public hearing on a proposed tax-increment financing (TIF) program and its allocation area, called three times for public comment, heard none, and closed the hearing. The commission then approved the minutes of its May 21, 2026 meeting and adjourned.

The chair called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance before the clerk called roll. Commissioners Mary Kay, Annette, Mary Tannis and Jenna recorded themselves present. The chair opened the public hearing on the proposed TIF program and allocation area and solicited public comment three times; none was offered, and the chair closed the hearing without receiving testimony.

On the consent agenda, Commissioner Michael moved to approve the minutes of the May 21, 2026 redevelopment commission meeting; a commissioner whose name was not recorded seconded the motion. A roll call vote recorded affirmative votes from Mary Kay, Annette, Mary Tannis and Jenna, and the motion passed. No ordinances, resolutions, old business or new business were presented. A motion to adjourn was made and seconded, the commission conducted a voice vote, and the chair declared the meeting adjourned.

The commission took no formal action on the TIF proposal at this session beyond opening and closing the public hearing. No public speakers were recorded during the citizens input or the TIF hearing.
