Board approves multiple maintenance contracts, change order and payments; schedules follow-up on resident pond

The board voted to accept a contractor quote to clear an obstructed neighborhood ditch behind the airport north school, with a contract amount not to exceed $15,500, and noted the quoted work does not include finishing grade or removal of filbert. Chris Jones, director of storm water management, presented the estimate and the board moved and approved the contract.
The board authorized a technical engineering study to evaluate feasibility for removing invasive trees and extending the Tracy Trail under Horseville Road, approving terms for a technical paper with a cost not to exceed $10,000 and authorizing the storm water superintendent to sign on the board’s behalf.
A walk-on item proposed change order number three for emergency pavement/repair work. The board approved the change order adding $34,040 to the contract as an emergency repair change order. Staff presented pay application number four in the amount of $143,224.24; the board approved that payment as well.
The board reviewed three operation and maintenance manuals and found them acceptable, recommending acceptance and authorizing the mayor to sign them on the board’s behalf. The board also approved the presented claims docket. Multiple approvals were recorded by voice vote with members saying "I"; meeting audio shows each motion was seconded prior to the voice votes.
The meeting closed after the approvals and a brief public comment segment; no additional formal actions were recorded beyond those listed above.
