The Florence Planning Commission unanimously adopted Resolution 8–2025 on Jan. 15, 2026, approving the 2025 City of Florence Master Plan. Chair Beth Lenz moved for adoption and Commissioner Bliss Eckland seconded; the motion passed on a 4–0 roll-call vote.
Commissioner Paul Villagrana said the new master plan "is well written," and Commissioner Bliss Eckland said the additional time to review appendix documents was beneficial. Chair Beth Lenz asked if there were any questions on the staff report before making the motion to adopt.
The commission also approved a motion to accept the Dec. 18, 2025 meeting minutes as amended to record that commissioners were given additional time to review appendix documents received Dec. 18 and that all comments were due to the planning department by Jan. 5, 2026; Commissioner Kirk Nelson moved and Commissioner Paul Villagrana seconded, with the motion passing 4–0.
No new business was presented. Chair Lenz announced the next regular Planning Commission meeting will be held Feb. 26, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 5:36 p.m.
