Farmingdale plans noise enforcement, nighttime staffing review and Uber pickup changes

At the July 10 work session the Board of Trustees discussed code‑enforcement plans and short‑term parking and rideshare changes. The Code Department reported extended enforcement hours—working late nights on Thursdays through Saturdays and a day shift on Sundays—so staff can monitor outdoor dining and open windows during the summer.
The board asked the Code Department to begin enforcing outdoor‑music noise complaints with a Notice of Violation followed by a summons if needed. Trustees requested a review of nighttime personnel coverage and asked that Dave Rodenburg attend the July 24 work session to discuss head‑in parking and policing of lots once meters begin operating.
Separately, the board discussed designating Main Street as an Uber parking/pickup location after 10:00 p.m. for implementation in spring/summer 2023 after the Main Street pole project is completed. The minutes also note that the Town of Oyster Bay has ARP $5,000 grants available to local merchants and not‑for‑profits, and that Nawrocki and Smith was the low bidder for audit services.
