DPW reports new garage nearly complete; Main Street pole removal awaits state permit

Other DPW items noted in the minutes include a water‑main repair in front of 233 Cherry Street, repainting stop lines across lots and residential areas in coming weeks, repainting a PVC fence on Jackson Avenue after graffiti, and upcoming stump removal. The minutes record a $500 savings from an in‑house repair of a fuel pump behind the firehouse and that crews fixed an electrical hazard behind the gazebo after damage to conduits. A sweeper operator, John Langon, received a resident compliment and a seasonal employee, Rob Perdue, is out injured.
