Mayor announces Chick-fil-A opening, West Rock Preserve debut; Chamber and library outline summer events

She also confirmed scheduling for the combined Red, White & Boom and City Fest on June 27 at City Park and encouraged shopping local.
Michele McClinton, president of the Hueytown Arts Council, reported ticket sales for the production 'Dearly Beloved' (performances beginning May 29) and described coordination with the Chamber on the June 27 City Fest. Interim Library Director Carroll Rector said the library decorated its exterior for America's 250th Anniversary, will hold a Summer Reading Program each Wednesday in June at 11:00 a.m., and will offer tutored reading classes for first- and second-graders in July.
