Oak Hill United School Corp. administrators reported an update on the district's planned HVAC project, including current estimate figures and a procurement schedule.
Administrators said architects and construction managers will reach a 95% document milestone on June 26 and complete full documents by July 20. The administration reported preliminary bid numbers delivered by May 18 came in at about $17 million, well under the previously authorized maximum of $25.5 million. The schedule presented calls for issuing the project for bid July 29, receiving bids August 26, and board approval of bids on September 14, with construction starting in spring 2027 and completing in winter 2028.
Board members and administrators discussed classroom movement and temporary room reassignments during construction; administrators said they have some empty rooms to use and expect two-to-three week rolling classroom moves depending on construction phasing. Administrators also said they will return with final numbers and recommendations once bids are received.
