Commission notes 250th celebration planning and Joseph Price House rehabilitation

At the May 11 meeting, Supervisor Libby Madarasz reported that planning is underway for a township participation in an August 250th celebration to be held in West Chester; participating municipalities will depict different historical periods and West Whiteland will run a resident contest to choose someone to read a portion of the Constitution, with a $250 gift card prize. Commissioner Sara DiPaolo suggested focusing West Whiteland’s contribution on the history of transportation in the township.
Planner Patrick Gorman reported that rehabilitation work continues at the Joseph Price House. Gorman also reminded the commission that the June 8 agenda will include further review of the Weston Tract application.
